OPIOIDS HAVE HUGE POTENTIAL FOR ADDICTION AND ABUSE …
… BUT, IT IS IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER MILLIONS OF AMERICANS DEPEND ON LEGALLY PRESCRIBED OPIOIDS FOR PAIN RELIEF.
And, those folks are in a tough situation.
Federal crackdowns and CDC guidelines aimed at the opioid crisis have left many chronic pain patients in Middle Tennessee struggling to access medication.
This comes as doctors and pharmacists restrict prescriptions to avoid legal consequences.
Investigative reports indicate that these policies are forcing doctors to abruptly taper dosages and causing pharmacists to refuse legitimate prescriptions.
I have heard from several individuals suffering from extreme pain.
One with a severe back injury … another battling cancer.
They suddenly are havng trouble getting the pills they need for relief.
I understand the need to do something about continuing opioid abuse … but this should not be at the expense of those who genuinely need the pills for pain relief.
I do know that some have now opted for ma*****na to help with pain relief.
But medical ma*****na remains illegal in Tennessee.

Call, email, message, and talk to our lawmakers to make sure they do what we voted them in to do…to protect our Constitutional rights and our God-given rights to use plants as we see fit for our personal health. SCAM ALERT:
Cybercriminals Impersonating City Employees-
The City of Portland is alerting contractors, vendors, and citizens to an active scam involving cybercriminals impersonating city employees. These individuals have been sending fraudulent emails to contractors with legitimate business with the city, attempting to collect fake application, permit, or project-related payments.
The City of Portland does not request payment through wire transfer, text message, or links sent by email. Any payment request delivered by email, especially those urging immediate action, should be treated as suspicious.

It's believed these cybercriminals are using public records of board meetings, such as video broadcasts and meeting agendas, along with publicly available contractor contact information to tie them to legitimate ongoing or upcoming city projects.
"We want our partners and residents to know that the city will never ask for payment through unverified electronic methods. "If you receive an electronic request for payment, always verify it directly with the department you are working with before taking any action."

The city urges anyone who receives a questionable payment request to contact City Hall immediately and report the message. Verification can prevent financial loss and help the city track ongoing criminal activity targeting local contractors and citizens.

How to Protect Yourself:

•Verify all electronic payment requests directly with the city department you are working with.
•Do not click links or respond to unexpected emails requesting payment.
•Do not send money via wire transfer, text message, or email link.
•Report suspicious messages immediately.

Should cannabis be legal and available for those who need and desire its use for medical purposes? Yes. BUT a simple online search produces the truth of what is actually happening and we must stop it from happening here is Tennessee. Do you believe we as law abiding American citizens should have Second Amendment rights? If you do, pay attention to what is happening in KY.
If you obtain a medical ma*****na card in KY, do you really have to give up your fi****ms or face harsh legal punishment? A simple online search will give you the following information.
“Yes. Under federal law, obtaining a medical ma*****na card means you cannot legally purchase or possess fi****ms or ammunition.Even though medical cannabis is legal in Kentucky, ma*****na remains a Schedule I controlled substance federally. Because of this conflict, the Bureau of Alcohol, To***co, Fi****ms and Explosives (ATF) classifies all ma*****na users—including medical patients—as "unlawful users" of a controlled substance.This creates the following restrictions:Buying a Firearm: When purchasing a gun from a licensed dealer, you must fill out ATF Form 4473, which asks if you are an unlawful user of ma*****na. If you check "yes," you will fail the background check. If you check "no" while holding a medical card, it is considered federal perjury.Existing Ownership: Simply possessing a medical card while owning guns means you are technically in violation of federal law, which can carry severe penalties.Concealed Carry: Federal law also overrides Kentucky's permitless carry laws, preventing medical ma*****na patients from obtaining or carrying under a concealed weapons permit.”
Do not let TN lawmakers follow suit. We voted them in, and can vote them out. As a business owner, 2A supporter, and Christian, I am asking you to stand with other Tennesseans and demand that our government quit pretending to know what’s best for us and do what we voted them in for. We need good leaders. Wicked leaders are given to punish the wicked in the land. May we do what’s right and start voting in those who will do what is right. Make them legalize plants that God gave us for medicine and keep their hands off our 2A rights. Be looking for a poll to ask your opinions about this matter on this page.
