We are a group of neighbors committed to bringing a new, community owned cooperative grocery to east

Montavilla Food Co-op is member-owned and will be open to everyone to shop. Member-owners will benefit from the co-op financially and through control of the direction of the store. Become a member-owner today and help achieve our goal of opening the storefront. Your equity investment funds the initiatives and projects to get to opening day. By becoming a member-owner, you will be make a difference in our neighborhood that will last for years to come.

We are still at Montavilla Farmer's Market every other week. Drop by, pick up some shelf-stable ingredients for home cooking, and chat with our volunteers.

The Montavilla Farmer's Market is on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at SE 76th and Stark in Portland. We'll be there next on October 5, 2025.

We have a shelf in a storefront!

You can pick up a selection of our products at Quiche Me If You Can, located at 411 SE 81st Avenue in Montavilla. They are open Wednesday through Friday from 11 am to 3 pm, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm. Drop by and check them out!

We have only a small selection available as of yet, and this is still a long way from running our own store. But it's a step ...

Montavilla Farmer's Market is back to weekly, but we aren't. We'll be there this Sunday and again on May 4th, but then we'll be appearing every two weeks after that.

Whether we are there or not, though, you should visit the Market and its many great local venders, such as the hi gluten bakehouse with their wonderful fresh-baked breads and pastries.

The Montavilla Farmers Market is held on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at SE 76th and Stark in Portland.

Come see us at Montavilla Farmers Market at SE 76th and Stark on alternating Sundays, the next one being March 30. While you are there, check out the many local vendors. Our booth neighbors include Vtopian Artisan Cheeses, who offer a great selection of vegan cashew cheeses.

And feel free to drop by our monthly board meeting at Quiche Me If You Can in Montavilla on SE 81st Street at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday April 1, 2025 if you want to learn more about the food co-op and our plans for the future.

We'll be back at Montavilla Farmers Market on March 16. Meanwhile, drop by and enjoy the produce from the many fine vendors there. For example, check out the amazing varieties of apples and pears from Kiyokawa Family Orchards, just a few booths to our right at the end of the row.

Montavilla Farmers Market is open on alternating Sundays during the winter from 10 a.m. to 2. p.m. Visit the market at SE 76th and Stark.

The Montavilla Farmers Market is open biweekly on Sundays from January through through April. Come see us there on January 5, 2025, and every second Sunday after than. The Market is open from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. at SE 76th and Stark.

We now have a selection of oils by the quart. You'll be able to get them at our booth at the Montavilla Farmers Market, along with other pantry staples.

We're sorry that we'll miss the final market of this year on December 22nd, but we'll be back on January 5, 2025, when the market goes biweekly from January through April.

We are now offering 16 oz bottles of pure maple syrup, sourced from Barred Woods Maple in Vermont. From Barred Woods:

"Processed in small batches with utmost attention to quality and purity. We strive to boil the sap the same day it is collected and we use stainless steel tanks, fittings, pans, and utensils to produce the purest tasting maple syrup available."

You can buy it from our booth at the Montavilla Farmers Market on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., or from our online store.
