If it were a willpower problem, you would’ve solved it by now.

You are disciplined.
You manage classrooms.
You manage chaos.

The issue isn’t effort.

It’s that your meals aren’t built to satisfy you.

When you consistently eat:
"some carbs" (carbs give us energy)
"plenty of fiber" (fiber makes you feel full)
"enough fat" (fat makes you feel satisfied)
and "enough protein" (protein keeps you satisfied longer)

You stop fighting yourself.

Weight loss becomes steady instead of dramatic.

Shrinking yourself has never worked long term.

Learning how to eat does.

When you understand:
• How hunger feels
• How fullness feels
• What satisfaction actually requires
• How different foods influence energy

You stop starting over.

You stop obsessing.

You stop fearing food.

And weight loss becomes the side effect of alignment.

If you want this to be the summer you finally learn how to eat…

You are not tired because you lack motivation.

You’re tired because your meals aren’t holding you.

A steady summer doesn’t come from stricter rules.

It comes from balanced meals.

When your plate includes enough of what your body actually needs,
energy stabilizes.
Cravings settle.
Mood improves.

No detox required.

If you’re ready for steady instead of strict,

Plans are rigid.
Systems are adaptable.

A plan tells you exactly what to eat.
A system teaches you how to build a meal anywhere.

At home.
At a restaurant.
On vacation.
On a random Tuesday.

That’s the difference.

When you know how to create satisfying meals, you don’t panic.

You adjust.

If you’re a teacher, your cravings make sense.

You make hundreds of decisions before noon.
You regulate 25+ nervous systems.
You answer questions all day.
You ignore your own hunger cues to “just get through.”

By the time you get home, your brain is fried.

That intense pull toward sugar, snacks, or “whatever’s easiest”?
It’s not a lack of willpower.

It’s stress.
It’s decision fatigue.
It’s under-eating earlier in the day catching up.

Cravings aren’t a character flaw.
They’re feedback.

And when you learn how to respond instead of restrict, everything shifts.

The 3pm crash and the 9pm sugar hit are usually connected.

Most teachers I work with:
• Rush breakfast
• Eat a light lunch
• Power through the afternoon

Then wonder why nighttime feels chaotic.

It’s not lack of discipline.

It’s usually a lunch that didn’t include:
Some carbs, plenty of fiber, enough fat, and enough protein.

When meals satisfy you earlier, evenings calm down.

Before you blame yourself tonight… check lunch.

Memorial Day isn’t about perfection.
It’s about appreciation. 🇺🇸

Yes, enjoy the BBQ.
Yes, have the burger.
Yes, have the dessert.

But here’s how to do it without feeling stuffed, sluggish, or regretful tomorrow:

✨ Fill up on fiber first.
Load your plate with the veggie tray, fruit salad, or bean salad. Let those foods take the edge off your hunger.

✨ Pick ONE protein.
Burger or hot dog. Not both.

✨ Choose ONE side and ONE dessert.
Be intentional. Savor it. Enjoy it.

You don’t need to go overboard to have a good time.

Today is a day of remembrance — honoring those who gave their lives for our freedom. One way we honor that freedom is by honoring our health.

Grateful. Mindful. Present. ❤️

Save this as your BBQ game plan.

If you’re a teacher and you feel out of control around food at 4pm…

It’s not because you lack discipline.

You’ve been “on” since sunrise.
You rushed breakfast.
You barely touched lunch.
Your nervous system is fried.

Of course your body wants quick energy!

That afternoon craving isn’t weakness.
It’s stress + under-fueling catching up.

And the solution isn’t more restriction.
It’s better structure.
