I have been very remiss in posting information important to those of us that wish to avoid needles and facelifts. There are things that are simple and that can produce amazing results… but you have to be disciplined and committed to this skincare regime. I was trained by the Payot Institute whose mantra is, “Take care of your precious skin… it has to last a lifetime…”. The most important thing you can do for your skin (at any age, with the exception of individuals under the age of 21) is to keep it hydrated. Use gentle non-invasive products to exfoliate(removing dead cells), apply a mask that is hydrating (yes, even if you think your skin is oily)… and finally, apply a moisturizer appropriate for your age.
As we age, there are products that are created to make your skin glow …most important, Vitamin C one that contains ingredients that help lighten pigmentation caused by the sun … and reduces the production of “free radicals” ( molecules that attach themselves to healthy cells and eventually mutate them causing the loss of elasticity and other minor skin flaws.)
A gentle exfoliant is important.. one that does contain harsh chemicals. Enzyme exfoliants contain fruit enzymes that digest dead skin cells.
A skincare regime should include an exfoliation and masking at least once a week. Slip it in on a day and time that wors for you. I do mine on a Sunday when I can take my time to do my “spa day”.
I have posted two products that I find very effective…
