The reason for representation in politics is to come together, not tear apart, to find common ground, not to focus on all of the differences, and come to an agreement that works for all even if it isn’t the perfect version of what everyone wants.
Implementing this begins with how we treat each other. Then, it is reflected in our political choices in the voting booth.
