⛺Labor Day weekend was filled with laughter, tears, new friendships, campfire, s’mores, stories, and moments that reminded us that joy and grief and exist side by side.
✨Campers earned six M.A.G.I.C. pins, each representing a different part of their journey through camp, from morning Energizers and Discussion Groups to sharing Memories, participating in Adventure and Remembrance, and ultimately earning Courage by taking brave steps in their grief journey. The families wrote letters to loved ones, lit lanterns in remembrance, and celebrated the lives of those they carry in their hearts.
❤Most importantly, they were reminded that they are not alone. For one weekend, they didn’t have to explain their grief. They were surrounded by a community that understands, supports, remembers, and walks alongside them.
