When someone you love has been betrayed, knowing what to say — and what NOT to say — can make all the difference.

In this short video, I share the exact words that actually help someone healing from betrayal trauma. Not the clichés. Not the quick fixes. The things that make someone feel seen, safe, and supported when their world has fallen apart.

These words are for anyone to share with the betrayed, friends, family members, and loved ones who want to show up well — but don't always know how.🕯️

"Words are the architects of our identity."

In this episode, I share how Internal Family Systems helped me understand a protective part of myself and rethink the label victim. This is a conversation about trauma, identity, healing, and choosing words that make room for thriving.

Imagine. What if the words I choose, the words YOU choose, to be architects are more powerful than the language of healing? What if?

In Episode 3 of the Where to Find Bread Podcast, I share a personal part of my story and the surprising way Internal Family Systems helped me understand why I had such a hard time crying, naming pain, and letting go of secrecy. What began as a question in therapy led me to a protective part of myself I call Cry Baby, and from there, to a much larger realization: for years, I had been living under the label of victim.

That word shaped more than I knew. It influenced how I saw myself, how I moved through the world, and how others responded to me. In this episode, I talk honestly about the long shadow of trauma, the burden of negative identity labels, and the freedom that comes when I begin choosing new words on purpose.

This conversation is about healing, but it is also about more than healing. It is about thriving.

Some words do more than describe us. They shape us. My label - Victim - was like a dog whistle, attracting the worst of humanity.

In this episode of Where to Find Bread, I share how that word affected the way I saw myself for years, and how Internal Family Systems helped me begin to understand that label, question it, and finally lay it down. And how you can do the same.

This is a very personal episode about trauma, secrecy, healing, and the power of choosing new words that reflect truth, resilience, and growth.

Words have power. They are actually architects of your future. Choose wisely. I've reframed mine.

In the 3rd episode of Where to Find Bread this season, I share a deeply personal reflection on trauma, identity, and the labels that can shape our lives for years without us fully realizing it.

As I continued my Internal Family Systems work, I came to understand a protective part of myself I call Cry Baby. That experience helped me see how the label victim had quietly influenced the way I saw myself, the way I moved through the world, and the kinds of situations I found myself in.

I talk about the burden of negative identity labels, the role of trauma and secrecy in shaping emotional patterns, and the freedom that comes when I begin choosing new words on purpose.

I am no longer content to stay in survival mode. I am no longer aiming only for healing. I am choosing to thrive.
