30 things your P*P wants you to know!
Day 3

Your blood pressure at home matters. One reading in my office doesn't tell the whole story.

🩺 30 Things Your P*P Wishes You Knew — DAY 2

💊 Please know what medications you take.
One of the most helpful things you can do for your healthcare is keep an accurate medication list.
And when I say medications, I mean ALL of them.
Prescription medications.
Over-the-counter medications.
Vitamins.
Supplements.
Hormones.
Injections.
Anything you're taking regularly.
We need to know the name, dose, and how often you actually take it—not just how the bottle says you're supposed to take it.
Why?
Because medications can interact with each other. They can affect your blood pressure, labs, symptoms, and treatment options. Sometimes a medication or supplement may even be contributing to the very symptom you're coming in to discuss.
And please don't be embarrassed if you can't remember everything. Take pictures of your bottles with your phone, keep a medication list in your phone, or just bring the bottles with you.
But help us help you by keeping that information current.
Because “It's a little white pill” narrows it down to approximately… half the pharmacy. 😂

For the month of September we will do ‘30 Things Your P*P Wishes You Knew’

Day 1:
Antibiotics don't treat viruses. Sometimes the best prescription really is time, fluids, and symptom control.

08/30/2026

Day 30
🎉 Look back at how far you've come over the past 30 days. Healing isn't measured by perfection—it's measured by continuing to show up for yourself.
💙 If your depression is interfering with your daily life or you're feeling hopeless, please reach out to a trusted healthcare professional. You don't have to carry this alone.

08/29/2026

Day 29
🌟 If you're taking medication, remember that consistency matters. Don't stop or change it without talking to your healthcare provider.

08/28/2026

Day 28
💙 Remember: Rest is productive. Healing takes energy.

08/27/2026

Day 27
🎯 Choose one realistic goal for today and celebrate when you accomplish it.

08/26/2026

Day 26
💬 Replace one negative thought with a realistic one.
Instead of: "I'll never get better."
Try: "Recovery takes time, and I'm taking steps forward."

08/25/2026

Day 25
📺 Watch something that makes you laugh. Laughter doesn't erase depression, but moments of joy still matter.

❤️ My Cup Runneth Over❤️

Today, more than anything, I just feel grateful.

I am incredibly thankful for this community and for every person who continues to trust me with their care. That trust is something I never want to take for granted.

Our schedule is completely booked for the remainder of this week, and we are already scheduling into next week. At this point, I simply do not have room to add any additional **in-person appointments this week** without taking time away from the patients who are already scheduled.

And I don't want to do that.

When you are sitting in front of me, I want you to have my attention. I don't want you to feel rushed. I want to hear what you're telling me, make sure you feel understood, answer your questions, and provide the kind of care you deserve.

That being said, I'm going to accommodate **as many appropriate telehealth visits as possible after hours this week.** If your concern can safely and appropriately be handled through telehealth, I will do my best to get you taken care of.

Please **text 918-564-2010** to request a telehealth appointment, and our team will help determine availability.

Thank you for your patience while I care for those already scheduled in person, and thank you for continuing to trust me and Poteau Community Care with your care.

Having a schedule this full can certainly be exhausting—but what an incredible reminder of how blessed I am to serve a community that continues to show up and place its trust in me.

My cup truly runneth over. ❤️
