We just finished the annual CDT boosters to our does. Kidding should start mid February. This D&S Livestock tub and working chute is still one of the best investments we made on the farm. It sure makes it easier to get the herd worked. I am dreading this next cold snap, but thankful we aren't kidding in it.

We've got four inches so far, more coming tonight. So glad we moved our kidding season to mid February. Even the snow is nicer than the super cold snap we've been going through the past week. Picture of our 2 and 3 year old does up front waiting to be fed.

Family nucleus of DAL Miss Helen laying with three daughters all from different years, and two granddaughters, both granddaughters from different years out of PMK Fancy Nancy. Strong family units builds a good herd.

Poteau, Oklahoma. We have a few breeding does available out of our herd. Culls have already gone to the sale barn.
Our does are on rotational grazing most of the year. We only feed during last month of pregnancy and first month of lactation. We use famacha score and f***l egg counts to do selective worming. Doelings are weaned off at four months and go off to forage on their own.
Does are out now rebuilding their bodies for the coming breeding season. They are slick coated and gaining well.
PM any interest.

I'm in my flowerbed, wearing my goat farmer clogs. I heard a buzzing and was expecting to look down and see a bee, but instead it was a rainbow dung beetle checking out the dung attached to said farmer clogs. By the time I decided to get a picture he had moved on.

My father-in-love, Bill Sullivan , made this beautiful barn quilt for our newly painted and refaced barn. He completed it in about a week. It is a 4x4 ft, and pictures do not do it justice!

Our farm has an old barn that was built in the 1940s by the Newman family who were the original homesteaders on the property. We love this old barn, and feel a lot of obligation for its upkeep. We have recently purchased new shiplap lumber to reface the front of it. It will be painted back barn red. It is quite an undertaking. The old wood was nailed on, and isn't willing to let go easily. It is also quite tall and the older you get the higher those ladders get. Pray that Billy Craig Sullivan has the strength and fortitude to complete the task. Also pray for me as I will be the one holding up the boards on the other end. We are blessed beyond measure with each other and this wonderful farm the good Lord gave us to watch over. Thanks to Wanda Sullivan Gage for fixing Craig's picture for us. We love it!

Near Poteau, OK and Hartford, AR. We have ten commercial yearling does available. Will go in groups of five or ten, or cherry pick two or more for additional fee. Not all are pictured, but there is a video with more of the group on our page. We used three bucks last year, so there is diversity among the group. All are 1x1 teats, dams have good bags and feet, all are phenotypically correct, and all were raised as twins. Used to electric fence and rotational grazing, raised on grass only in the summer. Fed hay and a maintenance portion of soybean meal in winter. Not overfed.
PM for more info, or send text with name to 479-926-0033. Will not answer from numbers I don't know. Low ballers need not ask.
