Dry needling helps to relax muscles, increase blood flow, and release endorphins to reduce pain.

Dry needling is an effective holistic approach for tension-type, cervicogenic, migraine headaches by releasing muscle trigger points in the neck, shoulders, and head. It reduces headache frequency, intensity, and duration by alleviating nerve pain.

What Does Dry Needling Feel Like?
* Initial Insertion: Many patients barely notice the needle going in, while others feel a slight prick.
* The “Twitch Response”: When the needle hits the tight muscle knot (trigger point) causing the headache, it often causes a quick spasm or twitch. This is considered a good sign that the treatment is working.
* Referred Pain: The needle might temporarily recreate your headache pain or cause a dull ache, but this is usually fleeting.
* Post-Treatment Soreness: You may feel achy or tender in the neck or shoulder areas for 1–2 days after the session.
