Ink 865 Tattoos

Ink 865 Tattoos Woman-owned private tattoo shop. Where detail, beauty, and grit meet. Veteran - Rider - rebel heart. I am 865 raised! VFL 🍊 🏈 Hi, I'm Carrie! From tiny to huge.

I'm a registered nurse who wanted to use my skills more creatively. I have always loved art and creating things. I have spent my whole life making things. I am a seamstress, furniture builder, painter, remodeler, and the list goes on. At some point I became really fascinated with the whole microblading process and how amazing it was to completely change someone's look. As I have been learning the

whole tattoo process I have become very intrigued by all of it! Eyebrows, lip color, eyeliner, hair line/bald spot fill in, scar camouflage, the list is endless of what can be done. My newest obsession is tattoos. I am now doing fine line tattoos, regular tattoos with shading, etc. Men and Women. Black grayscale and color. I’m truly enjoying it so much! I will continue to work and grow. Thanks for all the support you have shown this far.

Not every sleeve starts with a full plan.
Sometimes it grows one memory, one hobby, and one chapter at a time.
Today we added two fishing lures to continue the story. 🎣

Memorial piece for one of his best friends since grade school.

The broken clock marks the exact moment life changed forever—the time he got the call no one ever wants to receive.

A staircase rises through the clouds toward Heaven’s gate, symbolizing the journey beyond and the hope of seeing each other again someday.

Some tattoos are artwork. Some are memories. And some are a way to carry the people we love with us when they’re no longer here.

Forever remembered. Never forgotten. 🖤

She came in with an old tattoo she was ready to say goodbye to.
Her only request? Cover it up… and include flowers.
Sometimes the best clients are the ones who simply trust the process. 🌸

Her very first tattoo… and she didn’t exactly start small. 👀

She went all in with a shoulder-to-neck piece that flows beautifully with her natural shape. Feminine, elegant, and soft without relying on traditional flowers.

And for a first-timer? She handled it like a champ. Said it wasn’t bad at all and never flinched once.

Alright, don’t roast us… all you English majors, teachers, professors, grammar police, and self-appointed punctuation experts. 😂
We went back and forth on this one today:
Brother’s Keeper or Brothers Keeper?
The internet managed to make us even more confused than when we started, so we left it as-is for now. After all, it’s a lot easier to add an apostrophe later than remove one. We understand the whole possession thing and what the apostrophe means. 👀

According to AI:“Brothers Keeper (without the apostrophe) isn’t technically correct grammar, though some people intentionally leave punctuation out in tattoos for simplicity or aesthetics.”

So now we’re curious…
What’s your vote?
1✅ Brother’s Keeper
2✅ Brothers Keeper

And please explain your reasoning before the grammar police write us a citation. 🚔😂

Grandma would’ve adored it.
Your mother would’ve had concerns.
Ink 865 feels like a warm hug from someone who taught you how to break the rules!!!

A place filled with dark florals, vintage treasures, and curious oddities—where old souls feel at home and good decisions get questionable. Like your grandma’s parlor, if grandma rode motorcycles and had a rebellious streak. 🖤🕯️🌙🏍️

This piece will eventually span her entire arm.

She already had a flower bouquet from another artist, so we’re designing the rest of the sleeve to flow around it and tie everything together as naturally as possible. Every artist has their own style, technique, and way of working, which means blending existing work into a new design can take a little creativity and planning.

In the end, this will be a full-color sleeve filled with flowers, vines, leaves, and a few surprises along the way. I can’t wait to watch it all come together. 🌿🌸

I don’t always post every tattoo I do.

• Sometimes I forget to take a picture.
• Some people get really red after being tattooed.
• A little swelling or puffiness can make things look uneven at first.
• Certain colors can look muddy or reddish in fresh photos because of blood and irritation.
• Sometimes the lighting is terrible, there’s glare everywhere, or the photo just doesn’t capture it right.

The truth is, fresh tattoo photos don’t always do a tattoo justice. A tattoo can look completely different healed and in person than it does in a quick picture taken right after the session.

That’s also why so many photos online are heavily edited or AI enhanced these days. Sometimes what you see on a screen isn’t exactly what you’d see standing in front of it—which can be for better or for worse.
