Can we talk about this awkward place where you're working hard and making progress, but your clothes still don't fit it's just in a different way? I almost cried- REPEATEDLY- and went through 4 pairs of pants before finally giving up, throwing on a shirt and swallowing hot tears as I got in the car, sure I looked enormous despite my hard work and "gains." I did my best to exude confidence the whole night we were at the grad party, but truthfully I felt so insecure. And big. These frustrating spots can feel so defeating, but we can't give up. Don't give up. It's just another layer. Your progress still matters. You're still doing great. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other.

One of my favorite ways to get more veggies into our meals is to mix cauliflower rice with regular rice. I cook the rice as usual, then when it's finished I add frozen cauliflower rice. The ratio of 2 parts rice to 1 part cauliflower works perfectly, and even my pickiest eaters don't notice. 🇬🇷 Vegetarian Greek rice bowls for lunch here today! How about you?

Today I have a doctors appointment for my husband, 4 house showings(at our house), two personal training clients(in their home), plus all the homeschooling mom life that is my normal. Sandwiches and fresh fruit for the kids' lunch, and 1 apple, 1 banana, 2 scoops Nu-Life Herbs organic protein powder, and 16 oz water = 300 calories and 22 g protein that tastes like a nothing but a fruit smoothie for me. Whole food options like this are what keep me going and set me up for success as in all the things going on. It's way easier to keep driving past Chick Fil A when the kids whine for a treat when I'm not hungry. 😊 *DISCLAIMER: I'm parked outside the library while the kids grab some new books for an afternoon in the car. No phone + driving here. 😉 *

Dating is good for your health. Don't believe me? A plethora of large, scientific studies show that relationship stress causes an array of health problems like headaches, digestive upset, sleep disturbances, and muscle tension- and that doesn't even touch the myriad of mental health struggles that relationship stress can contribute to. Intentionally carving out time with your partner to connect without distraction on a regular basis is vital for nurturing your relationship. It doesn't have to mean spending lots of money or even leaving your house. For years, our "date night in" was the only way we could make it happen after having our first 6 kids in 10 years. 💜What's your favorite way to connect with your partner?💜
