I love this quote: "Be the woman who helps another woman straighten her crown." But what if we took it one step further and taught our children to do the same?

Can you imagine a world where we look for ways to lift each other up? Where we choose collaboration over competition, compassion over comparison, and kindness over pettiness? A world where celebrating someone else's success feels just as good as achieving our own.

When we support one another—and teach our children to do the same—we create a ripple effect that reaches far beyond ourselves. We raise a generation that values connection, encouragement, and community. And little by little, the world becomes a kinder, more supportive place. 💜

Sometimes beauty can be found in the most unexpected places.

Who would have guessed that this gorgeous field of lupines was growing at the Richmond Transfer Station? A good reminder that beauty is everywhere—we just have to pause long enough to notice it.

Growing up in the 70s and 80s was amazing. We played outside until my mother blew the whistle for dinner, thought we hit the jackpot with our Barbie van and swimming pool (our neighbor had the Barbie Corvette 😍), played kickball, king of the mountain, jump rope, hopscotch, and listened to great music. I wouldn’t change a thing... except maybe this new upgrade I discovered while subbing at my favorite elementary school.

The first time I tried this fish chair (not sure of the actual name), a student informed me I was sitting on it backwards. So naturally, I had to give it another go... or six.

Don’t worry — this was filmed during my break. No students present. Just me enjoying the Sit n Spin 2.0 😂

Sometimes, when life feels chaotic, the message we need has a way of finding us. A gentle nudge. A quiet reminder. A sign that we’re exactly where we need to be.

Obstacles happen. They don’t define us. What matters is how we move through them—sometimes with grace and resilience, other times with a longer workout or a few tears.

No matter the obstacle, or how we choose to move through it, there is often an opportunity to learn, grow, and emerge a little stronger on the other side. That is the beauty of life. 💜

Dinner tonight was my first attempt at a Poke Bowl.

Loaded with shrimp, avocado, fresh veggies, and herbs straight from the garden — all topped with a super easy sauce. Fresh, simple, and packed with flavor.

Safe to say, this one will be making another appearance!
