❤️ A heart attack doesn’t always look like someone dramatically clutching their chest.
The most common symptom in both women and men is still chest pain or discomfort—but some warning signs can be surprisingly easy to dismiss.
Watch for:
⚠️ Pressure, squeezing, fullness, or discomfort in the chest
⚠️ Pain in the jaw, neck, back, shoulder, or arm
⚠️ Shortness of breath
⚠️ Nausea, vomiting, or “indigestion”
⚠️ A cold sweat, dizziness, or feeling faint
⚠️ Sudden or unusual exhaustion
Women may be more likely to experience symptoms such as nausea, shortness of breath, back or jaw pain, and unusual fatigue.
Don’t drive yourself to the clinic or wait to see if it passes. If you think you or someone else may be having a heart attack, call 911 immediately. Minutes matter, and EMS can begin care on the way to the hospital.
