To Our Valued Avon Independent Sales Ambassadors (and I’m inserting Avon customers)
I am writing to share important news about the future of Avon North America.
Today, LG H&H announced that it has entered into an agreement to sell Avon North America to Regent. While news like this may naturally raise questions, I want you to know that we are excited about what this means for Avon and the opportunities it creates for our future.
Regent is a global investment firm founded by investor Michael A. Reinstein, with experience supporting and growing consumer brands and businesses around the world. Regent partners closely with management teams to strengthen brands, improve operations and create long-term value through strategic investment and operational excellence.
What makes this opportunity particularly exciting is that Regent also owns Avon International, covering markets across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Bringing Avon North America and Avon International together under common ownership creates the opportunity for a more connected Avon business.
This alignment creates opportunities for greater collaboration across markets, sharing of best practices, innovation, education and operational expertise. It also provides an even greater focus on strengthening Avon’s relationship-selling model while continuing to evolve alongside changing consumer behaviors and new ways of shopping.
Most importantly, Regent recognizes the strength of the Avon brand, the power of our Ambassador community and the unique value of our relationship-selling model. Regent understands what makes Avon special: the personal relationships you build, the trust you earn with your customers and the entrepreneurial opportunity Avon provides.
As Michael A. Reinstein, Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Regent, stated in today’s announcement, “Avon has touched lives for 140 years because it has always stood for opportunity, independence and human connection. America is where Avon began and central to where Avon goes next. Bringing Avon North America and Avon International back together gives Avon clearer ownership, a shared strategy, stronger product focus and a more connected opportunity for Representatives, Ambassadors, employees and customers.”
I know many of you may be wondering what this means for your Avon business. Today’s announcement is the first step toward completing the transaction, which is expected to close on September 1st.
Your relationship with Avon USA and Avon Canada remains unchanged. Your commissions, incentives, recognition programs, and ability to operate your Avon business are not changing because of today’s announcement. There are currently no planned changes to the Avon business model, and Independent Sales Ambassadors remain at the center of our strategy.
IOur commitment to supporting your business, providing innovative products, rewarding opportunities, education, events, incentives, recognition programs, and customer service remains unchanged. You should continue serving your customers and growing your business with confidence.
For 140 years, Avon has empowered individuals to build businesses, serve their communities and create meaningful connections through beauty. That mission remains as important today as it was when Avon was founded, and it will continue to guide us into the future.
We are committed to keeping you informed and will share updates as appropriate as the transition progresses. While there may be questions for which information is not yet available, we will provide additional clarity as decisions are finalized and more information becomes available.
