If you’ve ever looked at your child’s plate and thought, “HOW am I supposed to get enough protein and healthy fats into this child?!” 😂 …this series is for you.

I’m starting a little series sharing easy, realistic foods I make for my own kids that help sneak in more protein + healthy fats — especially for those picky little eaters. 🤍

First up: these super soft gluten-free + dairy-free pancakes 🥞

They have a really soft, mushy texture that makes them a great option for little ones who prefer softer foods or are still working on feeding skills.

Because feeding kids doesn’t have to mean making 3 different meals, begging them to take “just one bite,” or feeling like you’re failing because they survived on fruit and crackers today. 😂

I’ll be sharing more easy meals, snacks, protein ideas + nutrient-dense swaps that are actually realistic for busy parents.

Follow along — and tell me what your picky eater refuses to eat right now because I may make it the next episode! 👀

🤍🌱

Six months of Rooted.

Six months ago, I stepped into something I never planned for and honestly wasn’t sure I was brave enough to do.

After being laid off with only two weeks’ notice, I found myself without a job, without a clear plan, and scared about what the future would look like for me and my family.

But God had a plan that I couldn’t see yet.

What started as a scary leap of faith has become something I am incredibly proud of—not because of what I have built, but because of what we have built together.

To every family who has trusted me with your children: thank you.
Thank you for believing in this vision. Thank you for allowing me to walk alongside your families. Thank you for reminding me why I started on the hard days.

And to the people behind the scenes—our nurse, our cleaner, my scribe, the people who have helped me care for my own children so I could care for yours, my family, my friends, and every person who has prayed for me and encouraged me along the way—I truly would not be here without you.

These six months have been hard. They have stretched me, humbled me, and taught me more than I ever expected.

But they have also been some of the most rewarding months of my life.

This little practice may still be little… but the vision is BIG. 🌱

Six months down.
So much more to grow.

Thank you for being part of the Rooted family. 🤍

Let’s continue to grow in knowledge and wellness.

Croup can sound terrifying… that barky cough in the middle of the night gets every parent’s attention. 😅

But here’s the truth 👇
Most cases are manageable, and understanding what’s actually happening can take a lot of the fear out of it.

From a functional medicine perspective, we’re always asking:
✨ How can we support the immune system?
✨ How can we reduce inflammation?
✨ And when do we use tools like steroids wisely instead of fearfully?

Because it’s not about “natural vs conventional” — it’s about using the right tool at the right time.

Save this so you’re not second guessing yourself at 2am ❤️
And share with a fellow mom who needs this reassurance.

🚩 Always seek care if your child has:
• Stridor at rest
• Trouble breathing
• Retractions
• Poor intake or lethargy

You’ve got this—and we’re here to help guide you through it.
