We tend to think our practice only counts if it’s the full hour on the mat.
But yoga was never really about the shapes. It’s the attention underneath them. The breath you slow down at a red light. The way you notice your shoulders creeping up and let them soften. The moment you reach for something and actually feel your body move.
That awareness doesn’t turn off when you step off the mat. It’s available to you all day, in the middle of an ordinary one.
The hour-long class is one beautiful expression of your practice. So is the stretch at the counter while the coffee brews, the long exhale before a hard phone call, the deep squat to reach the bottom shelf. You’re living your yoga in all of it.
This week on the podcast I’m talking about yoga snacks: small, do-able practices that fit the day you’re already living, and the real science behind why two minutes actually works.
