As we approach 09/11, we are extra thankful for our fire fighters, police officers and first responders. Beautiful Minds Counseling Center has dedicated time in understanding the culture of emergency workers, specific issues they face, and how to better treat first responders. We have the only Certified First Responder Counselor in the area. Counseling can be beneficial to everyone regardless of your gender, profession, race, or beliefs.

When choosing a therapist, specialization matters.

Not every provider who treats trauma has the same training or experience. Do your research, use trusted sources, and ask about a provider’s education, certifications, and advanced training.

It’s your life, mental health, and valuable time—choose wisely.

Certification reflects additional training, supervision, consultation, and education in a specialized treatment approach. Just as you would choose a specialist for heart surgery, seek a therapist with specialized training for your mental health needs.

At Beautiful Minds Counseling Center, trauma treatment is our specialty:

🧠 4 providers trained in EMDR
⭐ 1 provider is the only EMDR-certified provider in Mercer, Raleigh, McDowell, or Wyoming County
🎓 2 providers certified in TF-CBT
🧠 Providers trained in Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR)
👁️ Providers trained in Brainspotting

We know trauma, the brain, and healing.

Understanding how our brains respond to stress is crucial for both personal growth and therapeutic practice. Dr. Dan Siegel's Hand Model of the Brain offers a simple yet profound way to visualize these processes. In this short video, Dr. Siegel uses his hand to represent the brain's structure, illustrating how different regions interact during moments of calm and stress. This model provides valuable insights into emotional regulation, decision-making, and the impact of trauma.
Whether you're a mental health professional or someone interested in the mind-body connection, this resource is a must-watch. We can integrate using EMDR, DBR, Brain-spotting, or ART. If you’re interested in learning more, call 681-282-5678!

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Beautiful Minds remembers Dolly💕 It’s hard to be a diamond in a rhinestone world.

As we move through life, let’s remember the example Dolly Parton has given us—not just through her incredible talent, but through her kindness, determination, generosity, and heart.

Be the person who works hard for your dreams but never forgets to lift someone else up along the way. Be successful without stepping on others. Be confident without losing humility. And when you have the opportunity to help someone, help them.

Dolly reminds us that you can be both driven and kind, ambitious and humble, successful and generous.

So today, let’s remember Dolly by carrying those qualities with us:

💕 Be kind.
🌟 Dream big.
💪 Work hard.
🤝 Lift others up.
❤️ Never forget where you came from.

Be a little more Dolly. The world could use more of it.
