Things that can make your wax more painful than usual- consuming any of these before your appointment:

• Caffeine- caffeine is a stimulant and can make your skin more sensitive- enjoy that coffee after your appointment!

• Ni****ne- ni****ne acts as a vasoconstrictor which reduces blood flow to the skin which can make your wax more painful and slower to heal.

• THC- THC can cause you to be more sensitive during your wax and possibly heighten your anxiety.

• Alcohol- Alcohol can also heighten your sensitivity
and increase the chance of your skin lifting or bruising.

• Getting waxed on or close to your menstrual cycle can also heighten your sensitivity.

For the best waxing experience avoid these before your appointment, stay hydrated, exfoliated 24-48 hours before your appointment, and moisturize daily up until the day of your appointment!

What to expect while getting a Brazilian wax:

Key points:
•Grow that hair ouuut!
•Get into the habit of exfoliating 2-3 times a week & moisturizing daily (just don’t exfoliate or moisturize the day of your appointment!)
•Wear something loose and comfortable the day of your wax
•Remember the first time is the worst, but it gets easier if you are consistent with your waxes and aftercare!
•Take it easy the day of your wax and avoid excessive sweating- no work outs, no saunas, pool, hot tubs, or intimate activities for 24 hours. You can start exfoliating again after 48 hours.
•Remember, your waxer is not judging you and it’s not awkward like you think it might be! I am solely focused on removing your hair and making you as comfortable as possible during the process.
