Sooo UNFAIR! Women have strougled for decaids and told just to suck it up when our hormones deplete, causing moderate distress! Hormone therapy has been a saving grace for many and our government "WRONGLY" put labels on this therapy, stating that it was dangerous. Now that, after decades of depriving our women, they have retracted this and are now giving the TRUTH that the sooner a women starts hormone replacement therapy the better. HRT protects women from not just the symptoms of peri-menopause and menopause but protects our nervous system, protects our hearts from heart disease and heart attacks, protects our bones and reduces the risk of osteoporosis and fractures, and protects our brains and reduces the risk of dementia! What else has our government been wrong about while trying to control our health. Women were institutionalized for menopause!!! We have been shamed and suffered needlessly for decades!

Today I spoke with several pharmacist trying to get a prescription placed for a patient. NOW that the government has lifted the black box, women are swarming to their providers for relief. A national shortage has been declared for estrogen products. There are options other than patches and pills....call me, I can help. With this national shortage, pharmaceutical companies and the government should have had the forethought that a shortage would occur.
