We were thrilled to host our inaugural Head & Neck Soft Tissue Reconstruction Course in Irvine, California, the weekend of October 3rd. The program brought together surgeons from Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS), Plastic Surgery, and ENT for a day of multidisciplinary collaboration, hands-on training, and discussion focused on head and neck flap reconstruction and complex wound management. ​

Participants engaged in case-based learning, bioskills lab training, and conversations around reconstructive decision-making and the application of Integra technologies.​

It was inspiring to see surgeons from multiple specialties come together to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and further advance patient care. We look forward to continuing to grow this program and supporting the future of reconstructive education.​

How many lives could change if more people recognized the signs of idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus (iNPH)?

Because its symptoms—difficulty walking, bladder changes and cognitive decline—can resemble other neurological conditions or even be mistaken for normal aging, iNPH is often under-recognized and underdiagnosed.

Yet it is one of the few treatable causes of these symptoms. Cathy’s story is a powerful reminder of why awareness is so important. After years of unexplained changes, she finally received an iNPH diagnosis and underwent shunt surgery, helping her regain her mobility, confidence and independence.

We were proud to host an advanced Professional Education Program in Royal Oak, MI, bringing together experienced reconstructive surgeons for an immersive learning experience in complex wound reconstruction. Through expert-led lectures, case-based discussions, and hands-on bioskills training, participants explored advanced reconstructive strategies from head to toe, enhancing surgical decision-making and technical proficiency.
