In this video, Dr. Rohit Mittal, Medical Director of the Pediatric Burn Program at MUSC and the South Carolina Burn Center, shares the case of a young athlete who sustained a deep burn injury following a motor vehicle accident.

Faced with a deep burn, Dr. Mittal used Integra® Dermal Regeneration Template (IDRT) on his knee and ankle.

Integra was excited to host our first orthopaedic trauma course in Chicago. Guided by expert faculty — Dr. James Blair, Dr. Jana Davis, Dr. Ryan Garcia, and Dr. Paul Matuszewski — this course combined focused didactic lectures, complex case discussions, and a hands-on cadaveric lab to explore current reconstructive techniques and surgical decision-making for lower extremity reconstruction.

Participants strengthened their understanding of flap techniques while gaining valuable insight into Integra’s reconstructive technologies and where these solutions can support soft tissue coverage across complex clinical scenarios.
