I really enjoyed getting to present and share more about expressive arts therapy with the Children's home society of West Virginia this week! It was great to provide psychoeducation for the parents and also support them in facilitated an art activity for the young kiddos and families. It had been awhile since I did any community work beyond individual therapy so it was nice to share more expressive arts in a different setting. Upcoming therapeutic group offering for Teens next month! 🎨✨ Community connections inc. and camp mariposa have kindly invited me to host this group in Princeton, WV next month and there are still spots! Group is free to participants and will provide a safe space for teens to make art, build community and hopefully learn some healthy ways of coping together. Feel free to like and share and if you need the flyer I am happy to DM it to anyone who could benefit. ❤️ This will be my first therapy group with Flying Colors Healing Arts in the area and I'm very excited to be able to offer this.

I've had a few people comment on the name of my private practice I started up and I can't take credit for it without honoring those who came before me. My dad was the one who used Flying Colors for his art business for many years. He was a huge support of both my artwork and also my career as a therapist. He unfortunately passed away before seeing me take this leap but I wanted to take a minute to share some appreciation. Both of my parents who were always self-employed artists made it feel like it was possible to take the road less traveled and make a living out of the things they enjoyed most; creating art. I don't know that I would be diving into this with such trust in the process without growing up covered in paint and following creative pursuits.

I hope that combining expressive arts with mental health care can continue to help others feel both encouraged and like they can find their creative spark again when the world feels tough.

Hi Everyone!

I am new to this recording myself thing so bare with me if its awkward. I wanted to introduce myself and share about what I am offering. I hope you all stay warm and are safe! I imagine the world is feeling very scary right now. I am currently accepting new clients at this time for NC and WV and have telehealth availability.
