SO CUTE … On the way home to Minnesota, Valerie McKean sent a photo along with a message, “It was so great meeting you, getting books and some wonderful gifts from your amazing showroom where so much local talent is on display. I absolute love the ring that MAKER Richard Potter made. Tell him that I’m wearing his ring, and wearing it proudly!”

Valerie’s one of a kind ring is made from elk ivory, often called "whistlers" or "buglers." They are remnants of prehistoric tusks and are the only genuine ivory found in North American land mammals.

Edward "Ed" Burns Quigley (1895–1984) was a renowned Oregon-based Western artist, painter, and sculptor famous for his authentic depictions of cowboys, horses, and the high desert. Based in Portland and Sandy, he captured disappearing ranch life and wild horse roundups, often working with the Yakama Nation and earning induction into the National Cowboy Hall of Fame in 1984.
