It is with deep regret that we announce that Hartig Drug in Prophetstown will permanently close on September 8, 2026.

Due to the unexpected and immediate loss of our licensed pharmacy staff, we have been unable to secure the licensed personnel needed to continue operating our pharmacy. This was an incredibly difficult decision and one that was not made without careful consideration for our patients, customers, employees, and the Prophetstown community.

We understand this news may bring questions and concerns, and we are committed to providing information and assistance throughout this transition. More details regarding prescriptions and other services will be shared with our patients and customers as they become available.

We are sincerely grateful to the Prophetstown community for your support over the years.

Hudson was a great sport today for an April Fool's Day prank 🤪 A silly prankster replaced all the framed photos in a store display with HIS photos. After several customers mentioned the photos looked like him - and he was coaxed away from working hard - he was able to appreciate the joke😊 Happy April Fools

What a treat! Today, Nicole, our pharmacist in Prophetstown, had the opportunity to visit the preschool class at Erie Elementary.

As part of their lesson on community helpers, Nicole shared what pharmacists do and showed the students some of the equipment we use in our pharmacies. The class was full of great listeners who asked some fantastic questions!

We love being part of the Prophetstown community. Thank you to these wonderful preschoolers for welcoming Nicole and letting her share a little about what we do at Hartig Drug. 💙
