With 32 years of experience and a passion for helping others, Barbara showcases our core values throughout everything they help our residents achieve.
For the past 32 years, Barbara has dedicated her career as a CNA to caring for others. She says her favorite part of what she does is caring for the elderly and spending meaningful time with her residents.

For Barbara, becoming a CNA was personal. Her grandmother was her best friend, and that special relationship inspired her to pursue a career where she could provide that same care and companionship to others.

A night out and a memory to last a lifetime!

Residents from Elmhurst Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center recently traded their usual routines for psychedelic lights, great music, friends, and plenty of fun during a surprise roller-skating outing. The experience was all about getting out into the community and continuing to make wishes come true through our Bucket List series.

This week we invite you to meet Bryan Lemire, LPN, who is an integral part of our incredible team!

With more than a year on the Elmhurst team and a diverse healthcare background, Bryan brings extensive experience and dedication to his role. His career began as an 8404 Combat Medic with the 2nd Marine Division, where he was responsible for supporting the care of 170 Marines.

Following his Naval career, Bryan worked as a lab technician before graduating from nursing school in 2019. He went on to work on a ventilator unit and later served as an agency nurse at several nursing facilities before joining Elmhurst full-time in January 2025.

Bryan’s journey reflects his longstanding commitment to caring for others and making a difference wherever he serves. Thank you, Bryan, for the experience, compassion, and dedication you bring to our residents and team each day!

With 7 years of experience and a passion for helping others, Kira showcases our core values throughout her everyday care with our residents

Kira says "I love what I do. I love caring for people, helping others, and being a source of comfort when someone feels scared, overwhelmed, or uncertain. Whether it's making someone feels safe, easing someone's worries, or simply making them smile, those little moments give me a sense of fulfillment that is hard to put into words. Nursing can be challenging, but it has also given me so many meaningful moments, lessons, and connections. I'm proud of the nurse I've become and grateful that I get to make a difference in people’s lives every day".
