This is from a colleague, which I felt was important to share and worth thinking about. Hopefully this won't have to happen to you.

This is worth reading regarding MVC which happened in Australia,

The paramedics failed to take into consideration the damage to the interior of the vehicle (the passenger seat was forward (I’m guessing she was short) and with a T bone impact, the side of the passenger seat impacted the left side of her body (Australia right hand drive)

I’m guessing the paramedics also didn’t do a 360 and may not have seen the severe damage to the offside of her car?

She was released to the police and told “she’s ok”

Police did a roadside breath test and she
blew .198

They took her back to the station and as she was losing blood internally, police didn’t recognise her drowsiness or slurred speech as stages of shock (had the paramedics said to watch out for bla bla and call us back, it may have been a different outcome)

She died “in custody” as a result

An interesting, avoidable case if mechanism of injury and suspicion of hidden injuries were taken into account
