A little reality check of being a small business owner… 🥹💗
Today we attended a local Halloween event, and I was SO excited. I prepared 40 cups of our Dubai Strawberries, packed everything up, got everything ready, and went hoping for a great day.
Well… we sold 3. 😅💔
Yup, THREE out of 40.
And you know what? That’s okay.
Sometimes as small business owners, we get so excited and hopeful that we prepare for more than what actually happens. We invest our time, our money, our energy, and sometimes things just don’t go the way we imagined.
Nobody really talks about this side of owning a business. The slow days, the wasted hours, the overpreparing, the disappointment, and having to smile and keep going anyway.
Today was definitely a learning experience for me. Next time, I’ll know better. 😂💗
But instead of sitting here feeling disappointed, I’ve decided to turn this into something positive.
We’re giving away our remaining Dubai Strawberries for FREE at our store till midnight!!
No purchase necessary. Just a little treat from our family to yours.
Because even on the days when business doesn’t go as planned, we can still make somebody else’s day a little sweeter.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support La Esquinita. Running a small business isn’t always easy, but we’re learning every single day.
And to my fellow small business owners… if you’ve ever had a day like this, just know you’re not alone. 🫶🏼
FROM OUR FAMILY TO YOURS. 💗
While supplies last. One per person.
