There's a scam going around social media claiming homeowners born in the 1940s, 1950s, or 1960s should ask the Pierce County Assessor‑Treasurer’s Office for a “1098‑SR” or “senior tax review form” to get a special property tax break.

This is fake. These forms do not exist, and there is no federal age‑based property tax program.

Washington State does have a real program that may help seniors and homeowners with disabilities: PierceCountyWa.gov/PTEProgram. Contact the Pierce County Assessor-Treasurer's Office and we can help you check eligibility.

Beginning on Wednesday, July 29th, our friends from On the Road with Partner Cafe will host a Community Resource Room from 12PM-3PM at TACID.
