Just a gal and her w**d whacker, tidying up her herb beds for the season of growing ahead! 😅🌿
There’s something about this time of year… getting your hands in the soil, feeling the shift, watching the plant world reawaken. It never gets old.
Some of my overwintered friends are already growing strong and my perennials are stretching back to life. The annuals I’m a wee bit behind on, but hey, getting there.
About 80% of the plants I use in my products, I’m proud to say are grown right here at home—always organic, always tended with a whole lot of love (and a whole lot of sweat & dirt too 😅).
So for all the hard-working, plant-loving garden-dwellers out there, this one’s for you.—Here’s what’s growing around the homestead this season, in no particular order:
Tulsi
Calendula
Motherwort
Mugwort
Monarda
Evening primrose
Echinacea
Skullcap
Blue vervain
St. John’s wort
Borage
Comfrey
Cleavers
Self heal
Lavender
California poppy
Hyssop
Hops
Mullein
Marshmallow
Yarrow
Dandelion
German chamomile
Thyme
White sage
Garden sage
Chocolate mint
Peppermint
Rosemary
Red clover
Hawthorn
Black walnut
Multiflora rose
Elderberry
Every one of these plant allies is grown and/or wild foraged right here on the land where I live—and transformed into the remedies I share with you. 💫
Here’s to a season of abundance…sun-warmed harvests, dirt-filled fingernails, hands stained green, and medicine slowly coming to life in jars on the shelf. 🌱🌺🪻
