From the first visit to ongoing care, Advanced Practice Providers are there for our patients… and their impact reaches nearly every corner of Blessing Health System. 💙

During National Advanced Practice Provider Week, we’re celebrating the nurse practitioners, physician assistants and clinical nurse specialists who bring expertise, compassion and collaboration to the care of our patients every day.

At Blessing, our APPs are caring for patients in neurosurgery, gastroenterology, urgent care, cardiology, oncology, employer health, family medicine, cardiothoracic surgery, OB/GYN, emergency medicine, the ICU, pediatrics, hospital medicine, pulmonology, anesthesia, orthopedics, hospice and palliative care, behavioral health, infectious disease, internal medicine, pain management, bariatrics and weight loss, wound and hyperbaric care, nephrology, plastic surgery and dermatology… with endocrinology joining the list this fall;)

That range matters.

APPs diagnose illnesses, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, perform procedures, manage chronic conditions and work alongside physicians and care teams to provide high-quality, compassionate care. In a rural health system, they also play an important role in helping patients access expert care close to home.

To every APP across Blessing: thank you. Thank you for the knowledge you bring, the patients you advocate for, the teams you strengthen and the communities you serve.

We’re grateful for all that you do… and all the ways you help make care possible, every day. 💙

Happy APP Week!

Today, we’re reflecting on the things that make us grateful… and at the top of our list is you.💙

We’re grateful for the people who trust us with their care, their families, their friends and, sometimes, some of life’s most vulnerable moments. We’re grateful for every hand we get to hold, every story we get to be part of, every smile we get to share and every opportunity to serve the communities we’re so proud to call home.

Our gratitude runs both ways. We feel your love and support for our team every day, and we hope you know just how much we appreciate the trust you place in us.

Today, our team is sharing a few of the things they’re grateful for. Now, we want to hear from you!💙

What are you grateful for today?

Tell us in the comments… things big or small, we’d love to celebrate it with you.

We’re grateful to be part of your lives and even more grateful to serve you.

Sometimes volunteering looks like updating loved ones, sometimes it looks like delivering flowers, and sometimes it looks like picking people up in the rain☔️

Rain or shine… close or far… our volunteer shuttle drivers are there to pick you up. Our drivers are a familiar, friendly face at the hospital… welcoming patients and visitors, offering a helping hand and providing a quick ride from the parking area to the front doors.

It may only be a few minutes, but those few minutes can be a moment of kindness in what may be an uncertain, stressful or emotional day.

That’s what makes our volunteers so special. They show up, they serve and they find little ways to make a meaningful difference for the people who walk through our doors. Want to be apart of that?! Reach out to us🤍

Thank you to our incredible shuttle drivers for going the extra mile! 🫶

A better experience for the people behind the scan and the people receiving it. 💙

Thanks to the support of our Blessing Foundation, our team now has an UltraScan Versa Premiere (Electric Ultrasound Bed), designed to make ultrasound exams more comfortable, accessible and ergonomic for both patients and sonographers.

For our sonographers, the motorized bed means less stopping, reaching and repositioning during an exam. Rather than stepping away from the patient to manually raise the bed with a foot pump, they can make adjustments with ease. This helps maintain better scanning positions, reduce unnecessary movement and support a more ergonomic work environment.

For our patients, those small adjustments can make a big difference. The motorized controls allow the bed to be raised and lowered smoothly, helping prevent sudden movements that can cause discomfort and making it easier to find a position that feels comfortable throughout the exam.

It’s one piece of equipment, but its impact reaches much further; supporting our team, improving the patient experience and helping our community receive the best care possible.

This is what your support to the Blessing Foundation makes possible. 💙
