Your health matters—to you and to everyone who depends on you. ❤️👩‍👧The Early Detection Works program supports women across Kansas in protecting their health through early cancer detection. If you face barriers like a lack of health insurance or high deductibles, you don't have to skip vital wellness screenings.

🌟 What the program offers: Free or low-cost regular health screenings, including routine mammograms and Pap tests. Peace of mind for you and your family by detecting health issues before symptoms even start.
📋 General Eligibility Guidelines: For Kansas residents with average risk who are uninsured and meet income guidelines. Cervical Screenings: Available for individuals aged 21–64.Breast Screenings: Available for individuals aged 40–64.Take control of your health for yourself and the people who love you.

“You can smell carbon monoxide in your home.”

❌ MYTH! Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless gas that can cause sudden illness and death.

Install battery-operated or battery-backup carbon monoxide detectors near every sleeping area in your home. Detectors come in different styles, so always follow the manufacturer’s installation, testing, and replacement instructions.

“You can tell whether drinking water contains lead by looking at it or tasting it.”

❌ MYTH! Lead dissolved in water cannot be seen, tasted, or smelled. Testing is the only sure way to know whether lead is present.
