What’s floating around in my water today? 🌿💧
From my garden: fresh rosemary + Thai basil for a refreshing flavor, a little magnesium, and a pinch of quality sea salt.
Hydration is one of the simplest ways to support your body. It plays a role in muscle recovery, energy, mood, sleep quality, circulation, and healthy tissue function. The herbs make it something I actually enjoy drinking while adding natural aroma and plant compounds.
But let’s talk about the salt.
Salt has been used therapeutically for centuries. Sodium isn’t something our bodies can function without—it’s essential for nerve signaling, muscle contraction, maintaining fluid balance, and helping your cells stay hydrated. When you’re sweating, exercising, working outside, or simply drinking a lot of water, replacing electrolytes can be just as important as replacing the water itself.
Sea salt also has therapeutic uses beyond the glass. Salt baths can help soothe sore muscles, encourage relaxation, soften the skin, and create a calming end to a busy day. While it isn’t a cure-all, it has earned its place as a simple tool that can support recovery and well-being.
Sometimes wellness isn’t about finding the newest trend. It’s about consistently caring for the body God gave us with simple, intentional habits.
What’s one thing you add to your water to help you stay hydrated?
