Your body changes during menopause, but support, awareness, and therapy can help you work WITH those changes instead of feeling defeated by them.

TMJ symptoms aren’t always just about the jaw. 👀
The tongue, oral posture, breathing patterns, and muscle function all work together. When one area is off, the body compensates.

05/06/2026

If you’re only looking at how it looks, you’re missing the whole story.

Yes—we assess what we see. But we also take measurements and test function to understand how the tongue, breathing, and body are actually working together.

Because compensation can hide in plain sight.

This is why a full myofunctional evaluation matters. 👅

Two days at MyoSphere = full brain, full heart 🤍
Learning, collaborating, and leveling up with some amazing providers

So good catching up with friends, finally hugging those I’ve only known online, and meeting so many new faces 🙌

This is why I love what I do ✨

POV: you’re a stay-at-home working mom growing a practice… so your “team meeting” includes two tiny assistants who are 100% paid in donuts 🍩😂

Bribery? Maybe.
Effective? Also maybe.

We made our provider stop, nobody cried (miracle), and the girls finished strong with the cutest balloons from 🎈

Real life behind the scenes of building something big—one slightly chaotic visit at a time 🤍

Thank you so much for taking the time to meet with me, I truly appreciate the connection and collaboration!

Tongue strength isn’t just a “kid thing” or speech issue—it actually declines with age.

Research shows tongue strength decreases across adulthood and is one of the most significant changes in oral function.

Now layer in menopause:
Hormonal changes → muscle loss → reduced strength

And yes… that includes your tongue.

Why this matters:
👅Airway stability
👅Swallowing efficiency
👅Oral posture
👅Long-term dental health

If we’re not maintaining strength, we’re compensating.

And compensation shows up as:
mouth breathing, clenching, poor sleep, relapse after treatment…

This is why myofunctional therapy isn’t just for kids—
it’s essential across the lifespan.

Not medical advice. Everyone’s journey is different.

→ One 2026 study found tongue strength decreases progressively across adulthood, with age being a major predictor - https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0003996926000609
