Hey, Ashley here-
Mantra Soap just celebrated its sixth anniversary on Sunday. I have been thinking about this post a lot over the past year and a half and have decided I need to do what’s best for me and my family, and close the shop. The website might stay up, not sure, but I will be selling all of the inventory I made for Fall and Winter throughout the summer at the WakeMed Farmer’s Market, and I will still do the NC State Fair this year. I’m not totally sure what I’ll decide to do after that. 2024 knocked me out cold with what happened in my other business, when my (ex) business partner orchestrated a coup and basically stole everything from me. After an entire year of doing crowd control and trying to just keep that business from going under, I neglected Mantra and have found that the stress from owning businesses is not worth the health issues I’ve developed.
I am so grateful to all the support over the past six years, and know we appreciate all of you, all your kind words of encouragement and just being there to listen if I needed it. I’m extremely proud of the brands I’ve built from scratch and the products I’ve made. I will look back on this time with fond memories and not focus on the bad.
