Every child we fly has a story worth telling. The Flight Log is how we tell them. Real children. Real flights. Real journeys toward the life-saving care they need.

And the perfect place to start is with Julia, our most frequent traveler and one of the bravest people we know.

Julia has been flying with Children's Flight of Hope for 10 years and has taken 168 flights. Let that number sink in for a moment. One hundred and sixty-eight flights. One hundred and sixty-eight times her family heard yes. One hundred and sixty-eight times your support made sure distance was never the reason she couldn't get there.

She is brave in ways that inspire everyone around her. We are so honored to be part of her journey. 🩵✈️

Pat Nelli caught up with board member and renowned pediatric heart surgeon Dr. Joseph W. Turek, MD, PhD, MBA of Duke Children’s Hospital for a friendly game of Operation. Let’s just say his surgical training came in handy.

But behind the laughs is a truth we never lose sight of. Children’s Flight of Hope exists so that children can get to surgeons like Dr. Turek. So that when a family hears “you need to see a specialist,” distance is never what stands in the way.

New faces. One shared mission.

We’re excited to welcome three talented team members to Children’s Flight of Hope - each bringing something special to the work of ensuring distance never stands between a child and the care they need.

Niki Theobald joins us as Director of Development, a new role created to strengthen our ability to share our story, deepen relationships, and grow the resources needed to serve more children and families.

Maya Bryant is stepping into the role of Manager of Events & Community Engagement, bringing creativity and positivity our community will embrace. She’ll help turn gatherings into connection and connection into impact.

And Savannah Dupree joins our Mission Delivery team as Mission Delivery Coordinator, working directly with families to help connect children with the specialized care they need, wherever that care may be.

Different roles. Different talents. One purpose: getting more children to the care that can change - and save - their lives.

Today, on National Aviation Day, we celebrate the extraordinary power of flight - not simply to connect places, but to change lives. ✈️

For the children we serve, a flight can mean access to the specialist, treatment, or clinical expertise that simply doesn’t exist close to home. It can mean hope. It can mean healing. It can mean a future.

And for a decade, Airlines has helped make those journeys possible.

Since 2016, our friends at American Airlines have stood alongside Children’s Flight of Hope with an incredible commitment to the children and families. Their partnership has helped ensure that when the right care is hundreds or even thousands of miles away, distance does not get the final say.

In one month, our community comes together for children who need care that's miles away from home. 🍺✈️

On September 19, every ticket, every brew, and every moment at Hops for Hope exists for children like these - children whose lives depend on getting somewhere their hometown simply can't take them.

Children's Flight of Hope removes the barrier of distance so no child is ever out of reach of the care they deserve.

Today is National Nonprofit Day and we know exactly what we are celebrating. 🩵

Not just the flights. Not just the mission. The people behind all of it.

Every child we fly gets there because of a community that chose to believe. Donors, volunteers, partners, healthcare providers, and families who never gave up. And a Board of Directors of incredible leaders who show up for this mission because they know what is at stake.
