**Think wisdom teeth only need to come out if they hurt? Think again.**

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is, "I'll wait until they bother me."

The reality? Many problematic wisdom teeth cause **little to no pain** while quietly leading to:
• Damage to neighboring teeth
• Tooth decay that's difficult to treat
• Gum infections
• Cysts and other pathology
• More difficult surgery as you get older

The good news is that **not everyone needs their wisdom teeth removed.** The key is having an evaluation by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon to determine what's best for *your* situation.

Throwback Thursday ✨

2/12/26 - Just four months after opening my own practice in November 2025, I had the privilege of serving on a panel of three oral and maxillofacial surgeons at the Northeast Wake Dental Study Club.

While I was new to the area and new to practice ownership, I certainly wasn’t new to oral surgery. By that point, I had been practicing oral surgery for 7 years and I had been a dentist for 13 years. It was truly an honor to be welcomed to share my experience alongside respected colleagues in the area.

Looking back, that evening was especially meaningful because it was the first time I met many of the incredible dentists in our local community. I felt so welcomed, and I’m incredibly grateful for the relationships that have grown since then.

I would like to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has trusted me with your patients, collaborated with me, or simply welcomed me to the community. It’s been a privilege to serve alongside you, and I’m excited for all that’s still to come.
