Did you know scientists are using sound to help restore damaged coral reefs? 🪸🌊
By playing the sounds of a healthy reef—snapping shrimp, fish, and other marine life—researchers can attract roughly twice as many fish and significantly more coral larvae to degraded reefs.
As an Esthetician, I’ve remained dedicated to protecting our reefs by choosing sun protection that protects our skin without harming these incredible ecosystems.
Ironically, I first learned about the harmful effects of sunscreen on coral reefs when I went to Mexico to celebrate graduating Esthetician school. We went scuba diving, and sunscreen was prohibited because of its impact on the reef.
Twenty years later, I’m still committed to protecting our skin and our oceans. 🌊🪸💙
