OWN IT. If you’re sticking to healthy habits, engaging in self-improving behavior changes that take a lot of mental work, or you’re just continuing to ‘get after it’ in ways that challenge you physically or mentally, OWN THAT S**T. 🤗Be proud of yourself, remind yourself that each step is a step towards something big. Each time you do something that is purposeful, something you feel good about, something that sets you apart…. acknowledge it.
Whoever said life should be easy and made up of easy decisions clearly never worked on themselves and made themselves ‘uncomfortable’.
Living in the ‘uncomfortable’ is my MO 😉It’s the ONLY way you grow. I fully believe that. Exercising in 100 degrees and sweating my ass off isn’t ‘comfortable’, nor is admitting and communicating the really hard s**t.
That’s the thing about me/ppl who aren’t afraid of the ‘uncomfortable’; we’re an easy target because we put it all out there. We also have the foresight to see that rainbows can legit only exist after it’s rained. We are wise enough to understand that change/new ways of doing things don’t happen seamlessly or without f**k-ups.
So, get off your judgmental ass if you’re sitting nice & comfy putting a dent in your couch from your ass imprint, living in a world where you never question anything and are ‘comfortable’. 😒😒
So, whether it’s exercise that feels freaking brutal, making healthier choices when you’d rather stuff your face with Oreos, communicating over withdrawing or looking at yourself objectively to determine how you contribute to a situation or dynamic - - these are all purposeful choices that show YOU you’re capable of growth, change and understanding that NOTHING worthwhile comes easy.
Unfortunately, many are not equipped to do the hard work and scare easily when change, conflict and uncomfortability arise. Don’t give up. I tell my clients this everyday: because when you go thru it, when you’ve made changes, that is when LIFE IS ITS MOST MEANINGFUL.
