I didn’t even think about it till my niece flew all the way to the west coast and asked to do it. All these years growing wilder and I had just never thought about hiking above the Hollywood sign.😅
I even got to take some barre workout photos on some fences.

Anyway - To try to force the deep message in this 😂
There are people that’ll just inspire you to do some cool or great things by just doing their own cool or great things.

But on a very real level now - I personally know on multiple occasions, the experience of people traveling from far away lands to rejuvenate or authenticate your destiny. I’m even married to one on such an assignment 😆

Don’t overthink the limitations that may surround you. May The gracious Lord raise up genuine helpers on your behalf from wherever. Just be humble to receive.

🌞This is cool! Because of my darker skin tone, I need at least 2 good hours in the sun. Absorption differs according to melanin production therefore caucasians need less time. How interesting that “sunnier” regions are more populated by people of darker tones? How cool is God’s wisdom and design?

✨Anyway, what’s really come up to the surface for me is reminding myself and friends and family (anyone who’ll listen) that the advantages of our health and immunity also changes with times and seasons (flowing in times and seasons is wisdom of the ages!)

🎧I shared the benefits of the pro hormone, vitamin D, in Episode 9 of my podcast (link in bio) covering anti-depressant diets, nutrition and wellness.
I mentioned it’s role in alleviating seasonal depression which can be caused by less sun exposure - thereby increasing the need for quality Vitamin D supplementation.

🤧But now there’s all this stuff going around with the change in seasons and we NEED to know this:

✨Say it with me. 😆
‘Cause yesterday I’d almost had it😅

‘Designing a new set of identity cards and declarations for you, tribe - and yesterday, I realized I needed to add this to the set.

Because I realized that the only way to keep growing and maturing was to remind myself of this.

See because sometimes taking offense appears like the only option, and it felt like that for me yesterday...There was no benefit of the doubt left, no misunderstanding, just straight up offense.

I knew it wasn’t good for my heart, and in a world where we’re actually being baited with offense and prompted with opportunity to just display really bad manners - it’s tempting to forget the love and maturity we’ve been called to.

It’s a personal responsibility and choice though - not a feeling. And I love that we’re designed to choose. It’s so empowering to remember that I can just choose to still have a tender heart, but a thick skin, and refuse offense.

It’s empowering and protects you from jadedness and losing your joyful, resilient and resourceful state. Plus your health and relationships.

What you behold, you become.
Whatever you focus on grows.

P.S don’t confuse righteous indignation with offense (you know we like sound teaching😅).

🥳Greta and I! She even signed my book, y’all! So while birthdays, anniversary, holidays, mother’s/Father’s Day season has been in full swing around here, I didn’t get to share this heart/riveting thing we got to do and this wonder momma I got to meet, thanks to an outing with our Wild+Free mamas - Greta Eskridge

The cool ladies at had their grand opening and hosted a Girl Talk at studio and
Greta, author of that fantastic book, “Adventuring Together” (that you need in your family and life for building authentic and memorable connections) saturated us with empowering insights and strategies for Parenting in the age of po*******hy.
In addition to being the family and building heart connections Queen, she is also the expert on this: Fighting P**n. Because of course this problem kills love and true connection - just to begin with.

🎉Friends, I’m so glad I went!
And here’s the thing, I’m not sure what I expected, but her fun, warm character and authenticity left me feeling like (insert what amazing feels like to you here, friend 😆)

So I curiously wondered how to get more of her gift in front of more people; then a lightbulb went off and it occurred to me to ask her to visit on my podcast. Long, cool story short - she said “yes!”
