To my clients and friends,

The last few months have been a bit daunting, and I wanted to take a moment to speak honestly with all of you.

Behind the scenes, life has thrown a few heavy things my way. I’ve been helping care for my mother through a serious illness, dealing with being displaced, and working through a period where the future of the Black Bolt itself nearly slipped out from under me. It’s been a lot to carry while trying to keep the machines running and the doors open.

Through all of that, I’m slowly settling back into a steady workflow.

Right now I’m also putting time and effort into renovating the shop space. My goal is to make Black Bolt feel more welcoming, comfortable, and inspiring for the people who come through the door. A tattoo shop should feel like a place you want to be — not just somewhere you pass through.

We are also working toward a Grand Reopening, where everyone can come together and celebrate what the communities of Randle and Morton have helped build.

Most importantly: my books are open.

If you’ve been waiting to get something started, finished, or dreamed up, now is a good time to reach out. I’m grateful for everyone who has shown patience and support.

Yes! We do touch ups, cover ups, and fixes!
This young man came in needing his tat finished. He was unhappy with the design and felt it looked crooked and uneven. There was no shading - just the outline of the anchor.

Nathan was able to even it out, clean up the lines, shade it in and add a few extras so the client can add the names of their children in the future. For years, he had kept the tattoo hidden, feeling embarrassed by it. Now it is a show piece he js proud to wear!
