WVU Medicine is once again supporting our student-athletes with FREE Sports Physicals and a Community Health Fest this June! Families are invited to take this opportunity to get students ready for the upcoming sports season at no cost.

📅 June 15 & 16, 2026 🕠 5:30–8:00 p.m.
📍 Monday, June 15 – Washington High School (Enter through the cafeteria)
📍 Tuesday, June 16 – Jefferson High School (Enter through the gym lobby)

Registration will be located in the cafeteria at WHS and the gym at JHS. Students must bring completed forms signed by a parent/guardian to receive a physical. The Jefferson County Health Department will also be on-site, offering immunizations.

📞 Pre-registration is required only for immunizations (not for physicals). Call 304-728-8416 to schedule.

💙 💛 Collaborative Community Care in Jefferson County

We’re proud to be part of a new collaborative, community partnership designed to expand access to health care, social services, and support for Jefferson County residents, regardless of income or housing status.

Today, we joined Jefferson County Community Ministries and Shenandoah Community Health to celebrate the opening of this collaborative clinic, WVU Medicine Family and Community Medicine, in Ranson, with a ribbon-cutting event.

“This new collaborative clinic is our mission in action. We’re focused on meeting patients where they are and delivering the care they need quickly, locally, and with a commitment to affordability and access,” said Nicole Dollison, CEO, WVU Medicine Jefferson Medical Center.

💛 🏥 WVU Medicine is expanding the Jefferson Medical Center ambulatory campus to bring more services together for convenient, comprehensive patient care.

🔹Construction on the new dedicated Oncology & Infusion Center suite kicked off in summer 2025 and is in progress.
🔹The new medical office building is scheduled break ground later this summer.
🔹 Modernized infrastructure and enhanced parking/campus access is part of the growth.

Sunshine, smiles, and a whole lot of heart ☀️⛳

Our WVU Hospital’s East Foundation hosted the 39th Annual Bernie Hutzler Golf Classic on June 1, and under beautiful, sunny skies at Cress Creek Country Club, our community came together once again and made this our most impactful tournament yet.

Because of our incredible community of supporters and sponsors, as well as the dedication and efforts of the event’s committee, including Co-Chairs Bradley Freeman and Matt Stickel, we raised more than $131,000 to support major projects at Berkeley Medical Center and Jefferson Medical Center the highest total in the event’s history.
