😩 Neck pain isn’t always a neck problem.
One of the biggest misconceptions we see is that if your neck hurts, you should only massage your neck. While that may provide temporary relief, it often doesn’t address what’s actually causing the problem.
The location of your neck pain can provide clues about which muscles are tight, overworked, weak, or compensating. For example:
🔹 Pain at the base of the neck may involve tight upper trapezius muscles and weak postural support muscles.
🔹 Pain running into the shoulder may be connected to imbalances in the shoulder blade muscles.
🔹 Deep neck tension may be related to tight scalenes or muscles affected by posture, stress, and breathing patterns.
But here’s where it gets even more interesting…
The body works as one connected system. Tight hips can affect your low back. A fallen arch in your foot can change the way you stand and walk. Those changes travel up the chain, affecting your knees, hips, shoulders, and yes—even your neck.
That’s why at The Body Spa & Cryo, we don’t just chase symptoms. We look at how your entire body is functioning so we can help address the source of the problem, not just put a temporary band-aid on the pain.
If you’re tired of temporary relief and ready for a more comprehensive approach to pain management and recovery, we’d love to help.
