- The expansion of our client-centered navigation services with our “Social Services In Rural Libraries” pilot program is an exciting new step in reaching more of our community —made possible by a grant from The Berks County Community Foundation.

Thank you Jen Heydt for helping us to expand our mission to “improve public health through service, education, and advocacy.”

- We lost a bright light and an icon yesterday.
Thanks to the THE AIDS MEMORIAL for this reminder of all the magic that was Dolly Parton .

“Did you know that (January 19, 1946 – August 25, 2026) was an advocate and major financial supporter in the fight against AIDS, offering critical backing to the gay community at a time when AIDS was highly stigmatised?

While country music culture historically remained silent during the peak of the AIDS epidemic, Dolly used her platform to raise funds, challenge stigma, and promote compassion.

Dolly’s AIDS advocacy included contributing her song “You Gotta Be My Baby,” to the 1994 charity album Red Hot Organization + Country, which raised funds for AIDS awareness and research.

In 1994, Dolly joined 35 other country music stars in the “Break the Silence” AIDS Awareness campaign. This initiative broadcasted public service announcements advocating for s*x education and safer practices.

Dolly’s production company, Sandollar Productions, co-produced the 1989 Academy Award-winning documentary Common Threads: Stories from the Quilt. The film chronicled the lives of those memorialised on the NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt.

Through the Foundation and personal donations, Dolly consistently directed financial resources to AIDS-related charities and healthcare facilities.

Dolly, we will always love you 💔

This is an incredible story about one of the pioneers in early HIV medicine.

“We’ve made great progress since the start of the HIV epidemic thanks to the Unstoppables who have dedicated their careers to ending HIV and related stigma.

One of those Unstoppables is Marty St Clair, a legend of our company and pioneer in the scientific community in the development of HIV medicines since the start of the epidemic in the 1980s.
