Payne's Produce

Directions

Payne's Produce Produce and Greenhouses - Putnam Co. Payne's Produce is a locally owned and operated greenhouse and produce business. Our hours depend on the season. Come see us!

It has always been a Putnam County business and was started over 50 years ago by Joe and Virgie Payne. It has now grown to numerous greenhouses and tens of acres of farming of various vegetables including sweet corn, tomatoes, squash, peppers, etc. We are located in the town of Winfield on Winfield Rd (the old Rt. 35) across from Fruth Pharmacy and Rocky Step Rd. During the spring our greenhouses are full of flowers, potted plants, and garden plants and seeds. During the summer we grow a full crop of homegrown vegetables. Each fall we grow pumpkins, some amazing mums at great prices, and offer fall decorations. During the winter...we rest...and order for next year!

We were able to add more pumpkins! We have some really nice large pumpkins with thick stems that are currently located inside our building. We could gladly meet you to let you look through them, but we have not placed them outside yet. They are $15. They are the last three photos on this post The rain is really wreaking havoc on the pumpkin crop this year, so we are trying to keep the more expensive ones out of the rain for now.
