Fresh blood in an old machine. 🩸⚙️

Last week we started building the new lower half. This week we packed fresh reds into the 19-year-old biomech up top, bringing the entire sleeve one step closer to becoming a single finished piece.

Want to see more biomech—or wear some yourself? Follow along and message me.

Talent doesn’t replace discipline. You still have to draw. Every. Damn. Day. ✍️

I created Draw Every Damn Day to help tattoo apprentices and artists build stronger drawing habits through 30 days of focused prompts, redraws, and honest self-critique.

Ready to put in the work?

Picking up where I left off 19 years ago. đź‘€

I tattooed the upper half of this sleeve nearly two decades ago—now I’m freehanding the lower half directly onto the arm and bringing the whole biomechanical piece together.

It’s finally here.

After months of designing, testing, revising, and working with a local printer, Draw Every Damn Day is officially available.

This isn’t just another sketchbook. It’s a 30-day drawing challenge built to help tattoo apprentices, aspiring artists, and experienced artists develop stronger drawing habits, sharpen their fundamentals, and stay consistent.

If you’ve been looking for a structured way to improve your artwork one page at a time, this book was made for you.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this project from the very beginning. I can’t wait to see what you create.

So… I made a book.

This is Draw Every Damn Day — The Tattoo Apprentice Daily Sketchbook.

The physical sample copies are officially in, and seeing this thing in my hands is pretty freaking cool — and honestly kind of surreal.

I’ve been testing the paper with pencil, alcohol markers, paint markers, watercolor markers, colored pencils, and gray markers — basically the stuff artists are actually going to use.

This is a 30-day challenge built for tattoo apprentices, aspiring tattoo artists, and working artists who want to sharpen their drawing habits.

It’s not a “how to tattoo” book.
It’s a tool for building the skills that come before tattooing: prompts, composition, problem solving, discipline, and learning to draw what comes through the door.

If you know someone who wants to become a tattoo artist — your kid, friend, spouse, apprentice, or coworker — please share this with them.

It’s never too early, and it’s never too late, to build those skills.

First run is coming soon.

Throwback to this biomech sleeve I did on Chad over 15 years ago. These pics are from when it was fresh.

Neck to wrist, built to move with the arm — not just fill space.

Still one of my favorite styles to draw and tattoo. I’d love to get more large-scale biomech pieces going.

15+ years old and still a perfect example of why biomech has to be built for the body — not just slapped on it.

This piece was drawn to move with the shoulder, chest, and arm so every panel, curve, and shadow works with the anatomy. That’s what makes biomech hit different when it’s done right.

Would you wear something this bold?

Unused concept, but a perfect example of why biomech hits different.

It’s built to flow with the body, not just sit on top of it. Biomech can go heavy and masculine, or soft, floaty, and feminine depending on the shapes and colors.

What colors would you put in yours?
