📚🎬 They read it. Then they watched it!

After finishing the novel Remarkably Bright Creatures, our Ridge Crest Assisted Living Book Club gathered for a screening of the film, complete with fresh popcorn from our dining team. 🍿🐙

The verdict? They enjoyed the movie but recommend reading the book first!

📖 Now on their reading list: The Women by Kristin Hannah.

🍨 A sweet way to celebrate our incredible Ridge Crest team! Nothing brings people together quite like an ice cream bar, complete with a variety of toppings, whipped cream and, of course, a cherry on top. 🍒

Associates Fabienne, Daneen and Annefeia enjoyed a sundae and a smile together, reminding us that it's the little moments of appreciation that make our community even sweeter. 💙

Our Assisted Living Book Club continues to grow, bringing together residents who share a love of reading.

What began as a small gathering has grown into a vibrant book club where members eagerly share favorite passages, perspectives and insights.

After last month's review of Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt, the group is now diving into The Women by Kristen Hannah.

Residents help lead discussions, pose thoughtful questions and recommend future reads, making each gathering even more engaging. Best of all, the club continues to foster new friendships through a shared love of reading. 📚❤️

🦴 Learning never stops at Ridge Crest!

Our first Summer Specialist Series was a great success, featuring an informative presentation from Dr. Thacher of OrthoConnecticut on joint health, early signs of joint degeneration and when it may be time to consider joint replacement. 👨‍⚕️

🤖 Guests also had the opportunity to see robotic-assisted joint replacement technology in action as the StrykerActive team demonstrated how it supports precision during surgery and can help improve outcomes.

👏 Thank you to Dr. Thacher and the Stryker team for sharing their expertise and helping our residents and guests stay informed about the latest advances in orthopedic care.

🌿✨ A little extra flavor can make all the difference!

In honor of this month's Art of Living Well theme, The Art of Flavor, Ridge Crest residents got hands-on in a creative spice-making class led by Dining Services Manager Stefanny. Together, they blended
three custom seasoning recipes, filled and labeled their own spice jars, and couldn't wait to try them at dinner that evening.

Fun, flavorful and practical, it was a wonderful way to explore new tastes while adding a personal touch to every meal.

Thank you, Stefanny, for bringing such a creative activity to our residents! 💚
