As we come to the end of Mental Health Awareness Month, let’s practice awareness every day. Be conscious that you have no idea what someone may be going through. Be mindful of the stress you place on others while trying to relieve problems of your own.
Be thoughtful about timing when expressing concerns — is this person spending time with family, resting, or having dinner? Mental health awareness begins with self-awareness.
Respect boundaries and understand that “no” is a complete sentence. Don’t make your issue someone else’s burden to carry. Be kind, be mindful, and lead with compassion. Infinity Counseling and Therapeutic Services LLC
