Sometimes topical antiperspirants are not enough to combat axillary hyperhidrosis.

Injections of botulinum toxin (Botox) can be an effective treatment option for hyperhidrosis. Botox is injected into the underarms and blocks the signals from the nerves responsible for sweating, stopping the sweat glands from producing too much sweat. Hyperhidrosis may also occur in other parts of the body. Overactive sweat glands are common on the hands, forehead, and feet.
