Doctor’s office is closed. Now what?
When something comes up after hours, it can be stressful to decide where to go. Knowing your care options ahead of time can help reduce confusion if you or someone you care about needs help.
For many non-emergency concerns, urgent care may be an option when your doctor’s office is closed. Before you go, check the location’s hours, services, and whether it is part of your care network.
For serious symptoms, such as chest pain, trouble breathing, stroke symptoms, severe bleeding, head injury, fainting, or symptoms that feel like an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
A little planning now can make it easier to act later.
