It's no secret, New Orleans has long held a special place in my heart. I always said if I lived there, I would become deeply ingrained in the culture and fabric of that city. So to be invited to be interviewed by Ol' Man River on WWOZ Radio, the Voice of New Orleans, and to be ingratiated into the community and to make so many new connections without actually living there is like a true dream come true.
The interview aired last Sunday, but you can still watch it on my channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aT_Ui_c6aBU&t=248s You can also catch it on the archives on the WWOZ app under Ol' Man River show Nov. 9. It is a fantastic, fully listener-supported radio station. If you are interested in watching my previous interview, where I tour their gorgeous station overlooking the Mississippi River, located on the top floor of the historic Jax Brewery, I have put the link to watch in the comments below.
A special thank you to my friend Mark Butler who opened the door and made this connection and interview possible, and to Ol' Man River (Bob Rodrigue) and and the entire WWOZ family for welcoming me into their studio and sharing their time, stories, and extraordinary energy.
